Karlsruher SC has signed central midfielder Tim Civeja from 1. FC Saarbrücken. The 24-year-old is the fifth new signing for the Baden-based second-tier club.

What happened?

Civeja played for the Saarlanders in the past three seasons. In the last season, the two-footed midfielder made 35 appearances in the league.

Why is this important for KSC?

He scored five goals and provided seven assists. Civeja also played three times in the Bundesliga for FC Augsburg.
